oh family~!!

what a wonderful joyous occasion that has been taking place these days!!!!! thank you for all of the family updates. how fun! i was thinking about derek and aubree and baby keaton. what a special blessed occasion! and now julie and zach are engaged!!! oh my!
happiness is all around! can hardly contain myself!!  it is so crazy how fast this has all gone. i can hardly believe it, i'm the old one now in the mission. and we just have 2 wks left in this transfer. they've changed our assignment w/ in the north zone to get ready for a busy summer sched. so now, i'm at the north visitor center desk everyday for half a day. the other half we go out and contact w/ in the north zone. so that will be good- we are to greet people, make them feel welcome and help them get on tours. so it'll be a new thing, which is good. i like change.

it has been undoubtedly a challenging transfer, but i'm learning patience, and love. things are getting much busier and many people are coming! and the weather is so nice. and flowers are just blooming everywhere!!! you walk along temple square and just the aroma of flowers! i just love it to bit n' pieces!!!
hmmm...what else. well, today we are going bowling and then walmart! yahoo!

hmmm...i'm trying to think of anything else. i had a really neat convo. w/ one of joey's co-workers, and he accepted having the missionaries come over! it was just a neat experience, i really felt the spirit guiding me to what to say. i have no idea what will become of it, but i pray, and have faith that it will work out, he's a really neat guy. you'll have to ask joe more.

well, i best be going. thank you for all that you do. you are a rock. every time i go through God's Plan, i just think of how blessed, and thankful, and lucky i am to  be a part of my family. My Heavenly Father is so good to me!
oh, my song last week went really well. It was a neat evening, powerful. The spirit was there. missionary work is such  powerful thing. i'll never look at it the same way as i once did before. it has a whole new meaning to me, and i'm so thankful to have that to be part of my life now. it's made me a better person. i'll always be improving, definitely learned so many wonderful things. especially how to rely on our Savior Jesus Christ, and His Atonement. We are so richly blessed and loved!

Hope you all have just a wonderful day! You are the best!

love,
sister harris

Family!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hello!!!! Thank you so much for your email! How neat that dad got to be interviewed by Elder Bednar! What a special experience that must have been, and to hear him talk and to also hear the Gen. Primary Councilo,r my goodness! Your cup is probably over flowing!

Just on our way to come to  email, I saw Elder Oaks from a distance, but I couldn't tell if it was him, so I kept staring and then I went down the stairs, and he passed right by, so I kept staring hoping that he would look at me- well, I thought since his middle name is Harris, and that I'm Sister Harris, so we have a connection, he would just know, like to have an impression that distant family was near by and - to stop and look down at me , and let me shake his hand! haha. I'm SO just kidding- ..........he kept on walking. but it was neat to see him. Hopefully he didn't think I was weird for staring. I'm sure he's used to it.

Well, this morning we went to the temple. It was so nice. This morning actually couldn't be any better. Today we have morning p-day b/c tonight we are doing a program called, Called to Serve, and I'm going to be singing at it! Yikes! I'm going to sing, I wonder when He Comes Again. The sister that is accompanying me is almost as good as Julie! haha- but she added some cool arrangement for it. I'm excited to sing. I hope it sounds ok! But youth from around dif. stakes come to this program, - and we get them exctied to serve missions! So that'll be neat to do!

But yah, this morning was so nice, we went for a run up this canyon that is just right by the state capital, and the weather is just beautiful. I love being outside. I actually now, have my first slight watch tan in this season!!! Then we went to the temple- which as always, was so nice and peaceful. and now I'm emailing, and then we'll run to Walmart and then enjoy this weather. and then do our performance tonight.  AND guess who I got to see yesterday!!!!!!!!!!!!!?????? Tiffany!!!! and her husband Jarrod!!! it was so special to get to see them. We took them through God's Plan for His Family.I love that video, and then we showed them around Temple Square. I just love her! It was so fun getting to be with her. What a treat that was!

This week has been great. Sister Yao, is doing just amazing. Her English is coming along really well. She is trying so hard, and just keeps impressing me everyday! I'm amazed at how fast she is learning the language and how she is able to speak with people. It's hard to believe that we are already half way through the transfer! Oh my, how the time flies!!!!! We've just been working so hard this week. The Lord has really been blessing us. I love going home just tired and exhausted in the work of the Lord. We met our goals of referrals two days in a row- which was really neat! And so we celebrated and used our free coupon at the Lion House that we got- every first transfer and their trainer gets. So that was fun. Sis. Yao is so cute, and just loved it! All of the new food she is discovering!

I'll tag on some pics for you from our zone conf. We had some really good training this last week on relying on the spirit in our work, and planning. It is just a wondering blessing to be here surrounded by the influence of the spirit. We've had some amazing tours and contacts with people. I've really felt the guidance of the Spirt, with what to say, and how to invite, and in testifying.I love it!! There is no greater thing to be doing at this time in my life.

Can't think of anything else to write, and I'd best be going.      Love you soooooooooo much!!!!!!!!!

p.s. PICS: *the pic of the big truck is for little Granty! Check out the license plate!!! I HAD to take a pic!
*a pic w/ me and sister Binte from Germany, she and I just get along so well, we are both werid and silly,  I guess that's why!
*me and sisterYao at zone conf. on the 10th floor of the Joseph Smith Building. Such a pretty view from up there, but it's hard to see in this pic. sorry!

Hello hello! Ne how ma! Family!!!

That's hello in Mandarin-by the way! Well, another week has gone by. man, the time just flies! Things here are great as usual! the sun shines (for the most part) it's been a tad rainy and some random spurts -o- snow. it is so nice to have it be spring tho that's for sure!!

Thank you for your emails. it is always so good to hear from you and how all of the family is doing. that is so neat to think about Derek and Aubree with their new baby! I've been thinking about them a lot this week- i heard from Joey actually what was going on- b/c he had given us some potentials to call while he was here, and we needed to call him to get more info- so anyways, i was glad to hear that things are going so well for them.

Well, things w/ me...hmmm...it's been a little of a challenge training someone that doesn't know English very well. it has taken a lot of English, but i am just trying SO incredibly hard to be patient and to be understanding. Sometimes it is hard. I don't know if you have any advice. it's just takes a lot of you, having to explain EVERYTHING and re explain EVERYTHING, and then even the very next day, have to do it all over again, and again.  I know there is a reason that i am training, Heavenly Father is trusting me, and so I can't let Him down. It has it's fun parts too, no doubt about that.--

So, an item of  business- I have a question- I was wondering, when I come home, we will be driving to Darren's wedding, right? can we drive through SLC and we can just spend a day that i can show you around temple square and you can get to meet Pres. and Sis. Holmes?  ever since i got here on the mish, that is something that i had always hoped for, one day, to spend w/ you and dad, and to get to show you everything, what i got to do for the last 18 months! and of course for you to meet Pres. Holmes and sister Holmes so you can seen just how amazing of people they are!  i know i still have a ways before i actually come home, and please don't think i'm focusing on that- but i didn't' know if it'd be better to mention that in advance if you and dad are wanting to plan ahead. so yeah, something to think about!

well, i guess that's it for now. i just love you so much! and every time i walk past the temple and see the gold sign on the outside that says" Holiness to the Lord, House of the Lord"--I always think you and think to myself, I'm the luckiest girl in the world!!!!! Hope you have a wonderful week!  sorry, no pics this time, didn't bring my cam w/ me. I'll be sure to take lots of pics this next week. oh, there are such pretty flowers everywhere, and you can smell them as you walk on the square. the best!

loves!!!

it's me!!! Sister Angela!! it's my pday! Tuesdays are the day now.  well, things are good! I'm not in chat anymore, I'm training!

she is a dear sweet heart- Sister Yao from Taiwan! She's from the other mission, not the one that Jake Adams served in. but anyways, I'm back in the North Zone- so things are going really well, just working hard and trying to teach and train her on everything, hopefully I'm doing okay. haven't been here for awhile on the square since i was in chat right  when i got back. but it's good for me to relearn everything.

gen. conf. was great! i saw bro and sis. whitehead! . but HEY!!!!! it was SO good to see Darren and to meet Liz and just walk around and talk! and then to see Joe and Allison and the kids! what a fun couple of days it has been. oh those kids are just adorable. we took them through God's Plan, and it was so special to be there with my own family! the spirit was really strong, and it was just so nice.

I'm sorry this is so short, i have to go- but please know that I'm doing well, and thank you for the Easter card! sad that no one was there to gather eggs and candy! i thought about you!! so much love to you from me!!!!! here are some pics for you! ** i  can't see what pics I'm putting on here. so hopefully they are OK!
