Hey Family!!!

 Ü well, this week has been really good. it's gone by soo fast! i seriously can't believe that this transfer is almost over. I'll be in my 5th transfer!!! no way baby!!! hehe! well,, this morning i gave my last district mtg. :( i had made a little collage w/ pictures of Jesus Christ, and then i cut it into small puzzle pieces, then i wrote on each of the pieces things like-"share your testimony of the Savior", or how has being on your mission strengthened your faith in our Savior- and so each sister went around the table and share their thoughts on the Savior and their mission, and put their puzzle piece in the middle of the table and then we were able to see at the end a big collage of Jesus Christ. it was really neat to hear each individual testimony- and the special thing was, that they were all different, but the same-b/c you could feel the spirit, and how we need to make Christ our Anchor and rely on him, to have that relationship w/ him. 

 its just so neat, all week, nothing really came to mind what i should talk about w/ this last dist. mtg, but this morning, as i was preparing i prayed so hard to have the guidance-to prepare something that these sisters needed to hear. and i truly felt that i was able to  do that. it was really neat- this week my testimony that God really does hear and answer our prayers has been reconfirmed to me many times this week.

 In the Referral Center, i felt so guided as i was calling people and with the words that i needed to say. i just relied on the Spirit of what i should say, i didn't think about what it was that i needed to say before hand, one thing we've really been focusing on is listening to our guests, and then relying on the promptings of the spirit w/ what we should say. and it is true, it works. I've seen it over and over and over again. so much success happens, and i owe it all to the Lord. you cannot do this work alone. I'm so grateful for our Savior. for his love, that he cares, and that he wants us to be happy. i just love it.

 This last Sunday, we had the privilege to go the Oquirrah Mountain Temple Dedication. it was really good. we sat in one of the oldest chapels in SLC. it was def. a ward w/ lots of old people! haha! cute! Being here on a mission and testifying over and over of Jesus Christ and of Prophets -it means so much more to me now- and getting to hear Pres. Monson speak-he is so inspired and i was just trying to soak it all in, what he was saying, b/c i knew that it was inspiration. 

so this last Tues.....i have  a confession.......i got kissed........by a 70yr old man! ha ha. i was on exchanges w/ s. Stephen from CA- we had been helping this old couple-i was w/ the husband and she was w/ the wife- and they were just so thrilled that we could help them, and anyways- as they were leaving, the old woman gives s. Stephen a hug, and i thought in my head, oh no, i hope that he doesn't try to hug me, cuz yah, know, we aren't supposed to- and then lo and behold, he goes in, and so i did the hug! haha- i didn't want to be rude, and if that wasn't enough- he kisses me on the cheek!! haha! and then he hugs my comp. and plants a big one on her cheek too!!!! and it was all in front of the security camera!!! oh well, it was cute.. 

so it was neat- this last Wed. i got my first referral at Family Search!! I'd been praying really hard, and that day, i said another prayer as i was there at FAM. Search- and i was at the top of the stairs where we usually wait to greet people- and it had been a pretty slow night- and these two guys walk up the stairs to leave- and i asked them if they had had any luck finding names and they said no, and i said oh, well did you get any help while you were here? and the guy said, no not really, they just helped me to a computer, and i said well, would you like me to see if i can help you? and he said sure! so we went down and we spent a good while and we were able to find a lot-he was really excited- it's fun, b/c i get excited too! but he was needing to go, and i just simply invited him- i don't even remember what it was that i said, but i asked him if  he'd like to learn more about families and temples and he said yes!! it was just a sweet experience, 

And then yesterday, i had an older couple from North Carolina-they had been here for a tidge on vacation, and got to see the MOTAB and just said that was the icing on the cake-and then being here at FAm. Search and we were able to find  a lot for them and that too was the icing on their cake- i really relied on the guidance of the spirit, of what to say, what to ask- and we were able to build a good relationship w/ eachother talking about their religious background and  their families, and at the end i showed them the referral card and asked if they would like to know more about the importance of why

we have temples and how they bless our families- and the lady - man she filled out that card! they were so gracious! i just have felt so blessed by the Lord. he has been so good to me. I've really been struggling w/ this area in inviting people and seeing results but it has just really been special to feel the hand of the Lord.
well, i love you so much  thanks for your support, and all that you do! i miss you very much. you are always in my thoughts a prayers and just wish that you could be here to experience all this neatness w/ me!! Ü LOVE YOU BUNCHES! do you have Elder Harris' new address?? hope you like the pics!! 

1. i was making beans and cheese and a tortilla, and the tortilla fell out of my hands! sick! look where and how it landed! isn't that funny!??!
2. My roommates- S. Pachecho (Brazil) and S. Agiar ( Argentina) make us dinner- it was delish! authentic foods!! YUM!!!!

Dear Family,

Wow...just 1 1/2 wks left of this transfer. i seriously cannot believe it! it's been amazing.

 My district mtg. this morning went well! i talked about having faith in Christ & that no matter what happens in life during our mission, as it gets difficult and hard as long as we have that faith and understand our potential as authorized servants of the Lord that we will have the power to do whatever we need. the spirit was strong- i asked each of them to share their fav. quote from PMG and from the scriptures that have helped them in trying times. and of course- we ended w/ cereal for a treat! that's been the thing this whole transfer w/ "Fruit Loops" being the theme. haha, I've been bringing cereal flavors that were the favs of the sisters. so today we had cookie Crisps, and Berry Capt crunch, and Kashi. haha! 

 i love the sisters in my district. they are all so hard working and loving. i'm sad for this transfer to be over. :( but i know there are many good things in store for next transfer! i' ve been going on a lot of exchanges this week-w/ the sisters in my district. i feel like i learn so much from them!

so what's new for the family? what's going on? keep me updated like you always do! 

oh! i had a neat experience while on exchanges w/ Sister Gaunder from Australia. we had the 8pm West Gate Tour-and we had four BYU students--2 guys & 2 girls, and then 4 non member international students from China, Indonesia, Germany, and Japan? --they were all girls so we took them  all on our tour. the spirit was just strong as we were able teach them- especially as we stood in front of the temple- and the whole tour just went really smoothly- and at the end we invited them and 2 of the international students referred! and it was really neat b/c the byu students could have just left after the tour if they wanted to - but they stayed afterwards and helped the guests better understand the B.o.M we were there by the big display on that, and i talked w/ the girl from China for a while and she was here studying in the states getting her PHD and she'd been here for a few years, but expressed how stressed she was , and how much she missed her family back in China but as she had been here at temple square she felt such a peace and talking w/ us-helped her to feel so much better. and i told her that as the missionaries came to bring her the B.O.M. (she had referred and requested the B.o.M.) that she would feel that same peaceful feeling. and as she would read it too. it was just a sweet experience to be a part of.

 i hope that everything is going ok. is aldo still alive? hope so! :)

Hello hello!

Thanks for the email, and the letter!  Ü thanks so much! it is always so good to hear how everyone in the family is doing, and to get to see pictures too. i love it! thanks!! 

Well, to tell you the truth, this week has been extremely stressful- planning for the big district mtg in park city w/ the AP's and the ZL's and going on exchanges w/ the sisters in my district- but the Lord has really been there for me, in planning and just how everything works out-just as the scripture says-pray always and be believing and all things shall work out for thy good--or how ever it goes! Ü hehe.

 The district mtg was good. we all squeezed in the nice mission car-a nice new Toyota Avalon- us five girls, and drove to Park City. I had soooo much fun! i just felt so privileged to be w/ some of the most experienced and best sisters in our mission. it was almost an honor to just learn from them and to get to know them better. 

welll, not really sure what else to write. last night was fun, our roommate's b-day was yesterday- so we made Brownies and had ice cream. she is such a sweetie-she is like an old Brazilian moma- cooks and cleans and just gives gives gives. how cute. we had fun surprising her. 

today it was raining, this morn actually it thundered really loud, and s. bohman and i sprinted to Temple Square w/ o an umbrella and we looked like wet dogs by the time we got to our District mtg. haha. 

well, how are things going w/ everyone in the fam? the mules doing well? is aldo still alive? ohhh!! i just love you soo much! thanks for everything!!! miss you!! i think about you often and hope that all is good for ya!

This last week has been good! The time just flies by so fast!!!

I just had another District Mtg. and everyone is so kind, and contributes and so I don't even get nervous! I'm surprised! I brought Fruit Loops for refreshments-as we work hard to see the fruits of our labor and that brings us joy. haha. I'm so cheesy! Ü 

On Thursday, we got to go up to Big Cottonwood Canyon, just for a day of fun, games and food. Pres. and Sister Holmes are so good to us and esp. our dear senior couple missionaries. They worked so hard to do all the food and games. Sis. Bohman and I got 2nd place at the water balloon contest. It was so much fun.   I just wish that you could meet all of them. They are truly the sweetest, dearest, caring people. I'm so lucky to be associated with all of them,and to get to serve w/ them.

S. bohman and I had a neat thing happen this week. We took this couple from New York on a tour at the Beehive House, and they referred. and then we had to hurry off to the Square to give a gate tour, and that same couple was on our tour! I know that that was no coincidence. The husband was teary-eyed thru the whole tour. I know he felt the spirit, and there was another couple from Nebraska.Tthe wife had many many health problems and she had amazing stories to tell of how doctor after doctor told her that she shouldn't be alive, and that they are in awe that she still is. She shared how she had such strong faith in prayer and God, and they referred too! Such good people! Both couples were. This work is just amazing... to see how people feel the spirit, and how the gospel truly blesses our lives. There is no doubt in my knowledge of that. I just love that I can be a part of this, and that it makes me who I am. Everyday, blessing after blessing just runs thru my mind of how Heavenly Father shows His love for me. Ii just feel so blessed to be here. to be learning the things that I am, and to be witnessing it, and most importantly being part of it as well. I can't believe that on the 4th, I will have just one year left. It goes by so fast.
